Written as the baby boys were fading awaty late in the 1980's this song was first performed at 'God's Little Joke' a Clapham based club run by Andrew Cunningham.
This was a phase where I was trying very hard to explain those moments in life that can't easily be described, relating I suppose to Colin Wilson's 'Faculty X' which in turn was related to the 'peak experience' as defined by Abraham Maslow. I have coincidentally recently been re-reading Colin Wilson's autobiography 'Dreaming to Some Purpose' - a particulrly apt title.
